I DIE DAILY

1 Corinthians 15:31 – “I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.”

  • Drawn to the LORD
    • John 6:44 – “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
  • Seek after HIM
    • Deuteronomy 4:29 – “But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.”
  • For HE will knock
    • Revelation 3:20 – “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
  • But HE himself is the entry way
    • John 10:9 – “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
  • Whose yoke is easy
    • Matthew 11:29-30 – “²⁹Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. ³⁰For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
  • Yet is condemned by the world
    • John 15:18 – “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.”
    • Matthew 5:44 – “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”
  • Deny yourself
    • Every choice you’ve ever made, you’ve weighed how the odds stack in your favor.
    • There is always motive.
      • Jeremiah 17:9 – “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
      • We subconsciously weigh things on the amount of satisfaction or gratification it will bring.
      • We do things out of some worked up fantasy about obligation. My daddy did it, it’s what men are supposed to do….
    • Be one of HIS!
      • Each morning make the decision to be a Christian, to be a child of God.
      • Follow the path God has laid before you and drop the traditions of our fathers and the restraints of religions, let go of selfish motives and focus on bringing honor and glory to the kingdom of heaven.
      • Endure the adversity for Jesus’ name sake, because although we are contrary to the world, we are at peace due to HIS Spirit.
        • 1 Corinthians 2:9-13 – “⁹But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. ¹⁰But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. ¹¹For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. ¹²Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. ¹³Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”
